Get to know Providence
Welcome to Providence Missionary Baptist Church! At this spirit-filled fellowship in the heart of southwest Atlanta, you are accepted, you are forgiven, and you are loved. We are led by Rev. Damon P. Williams and his wife, Rev. Khalia Williams. We are a church rich in history and who prides itself on preserving our legacy while inviting the involvement of the next generation. While our website will provide you with lots of information about PMBC, there’s no better way to get the PMBC experience than by visiting us. We hope to see you soon!
Sunday Gatherings – What to Expect
Our worship services blend old and new, traditional and contemporary. We love to sing the hymns of our faith, as well as contemporary praise and worship songs. Rev. Williams’s dynamic preaching/teaching style exhibits the best of both the Baptist preaching tradition and preaching in a digital age. Most often he preaches from the pulpit, but he is also known to preach and teach from the floor with a projector and screen, allowing the congregation to ask questions directly or text them to his tablet! Furthermore, we are a come as you are church, so some of us wear suits and dresses, while others wear jeans and t-shirts. On fourth Sundays, which are youth-led, we wear casual attire. In all that we do, we glorify and worship the Lord. Please join us!
